England ↣ February 2018

After six months in Asia it was time to fly west for some family time!

Just 24 hours after leaving Thailand, Adam and I flew back to the U.K. Reunited with my mom and brother, we spent the week laughing and just being together - a real treat for a family of 3 that spans 3 continents!

In urgent need of culinary variety, I indulged in rich Indian food, buttery scones with clotted cream, fish and chip lunches at British pubs, and - true to our style - we got the wine flowing with an Italian feast. Phyl and I splurged on a gourmet afternoon tea experience at the quirky art gallery/restaurant: Sketch! And let's not forget traditional Sunday roasts....

Leaving London for a few days, Adam showed me the English countryside where hundreds of wild horses roam freely through the New Forest. It was serene, damp and chilly with a heavy mist that settled as we strolled.

Keeping quiet about what I would soon behold, he drove us to Dumble Door where a majestic limestone formation sprouted out of the sea! The week flew by, but I felt so lucky to have my family together for 10 days!
